WDFV Ident

I remember WDFV had a ZOOM Ident with the Kids names revealed.
Good Night Caroline (pink) and Kenny (purple)
In the Picture above Caroline (Pink Girl) and Kenny (Purple Boy) are sleeping.

Alisa (Green Girl) looked creepy, but Estuardo (Orange Boy) and Kaleigh (Yellow Girl) looked cute.

I loved another one where Pablo (Orange Boy) was sleeping, and in the Picture above Estuardo's eyelids look half closed. Just look at Buzz (Pink Boy). I think Matt (Orange Boy) is creepy like Alisa, because she's scary and spooky. Mike (Purple Boy) looks funny.

Kill Your Toys

Who has not been disturbed, at least once, by the tedious Zoom music ? Who, seeing those seven kids with the dazed look and the shrill voice , did not think at least once "I would kill them"? Well, this is an opportunity to do it. Choose yourselves: hang them on their joyous swings , unleash a rock on their laughing hills , catch them with bazookas and run the blood on the world of Zoom. Lanificio 159 and Raindogs , already accused of manslaughter against the poor little Winnie the Pooh , return for another grim attack. But this time it will be a multiple homicide(Teletubbies are four!), so your complicity is necessary!
We do not want to incite you to commit crimes, but the invitation of Lanificio 159 is clear: Kill your Toys . That is: "kill your toys", kill the stars of your childhood. Victim on duty, not just one but four, "ridiculous, idiotic characters, incomprehensible in appearance and speech for some, cute colored puppets all to cuddle for others", the evil Zoomers. The crime scene will always be the same, the Lanificio: because the killer always returns to the scene of the crime.
The crew presents the second appointment with the graphic arts web contest in which the participating artists challenge each other to desecrate some of the most famous icons in the toy world with their creations. An "unconventional event" dedicated to the killers (for game) of the new millennium: graphic designers, illustrators, artists of the sector who, participating in the contest "will play the massacre" of the designated victims, with personal style, form and technique. The murder weapon, of course, is that of graphic art as well as music with the techno-electronic sound to act as a soundtrack to the event. In addition to the artists of the graphic and visual worldThe "special killers" will in fact be them, the djs, national resident and special guests of international fame, ideal accomplices together with you of the "assassins" graphics in the artistic killing of the poor toys on duty.
In line up for the ZOOMers' "Funeral Party" there will be firstly the resident, a name that has made the history of avant-garde electronics in Italy, Francesco ZappalĂ  (Tractorecords), then Diletti and Zoiberg, directly from the Raindog house. Their innovative sound, original and constantly evolving, will make the event even more desecrating, inviting the audience to the fun, a bit sadistic to say it all. To visual MrKochand among the artists also work Sette and Vandals.
Arm yourself with slingshots, petrol cans , and all the sadistic tools of torture to put an end to the poor ZOOMers ! As long as the sun (with the baby inside, another paranoid nonsense of the ZOOM theme song) will stop rising on the green hill of the games and "Teletubbies Teletubbies-! NOT farann more Hello!" (so would make the cartoon theme, meaningful!) And if you can not make a jump at the Lanificio ... enjoy this game on the web: Kill the ZOOMers!

2017's Best Tom & Jerry DTV: 'Tom & Jerry: Back to Oz' vs 'Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'

2017 saw not one, but two incredible Tom and Jerry DTVs come to WB and Hanna-Barbera. The recently released Tom & Jerry: Back to Oz has turned out to be one of the greatest cartoon platformers and Tom and Jerry DTVs of all time. On the other hand, the totally unexpected Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory shoehorns the Classic Hanna-Barbera Duo into Roald Dahl's Classic Tale.

Both of these DTVs are an absolute treat to play and deserve a spot in any Switch owner’s collection of games. Both feature classic Tom and Jerry Characters as we’ve never seen them before, an energetic world to explore, and – bizarrely – both titles feature Classic Movie Characters. However, only one of these games can be the best Tom and Jerry title of 2017.

Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a strategy cartoon movie similar to the 1971 Willy Wonka Movie and 2005's too. This Movie has classic Tom and Jerry characters and their Classic 1964/1971/2005 counterparts exploring an all Green Factory as they get into strategic battles on a grid-oriented battlefield. The substantial differences between the controllable characters and the high amount of customization available to each allows for a wealth of unique play-styles. While this game can be difficult at times, Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory rewards movie viewers for mastering its rich and diverse combat system.
On the other hand, Tom & Jerry: Back to Oz is a refinement of the cartoon platforming genre that was first invented 7 years ago in the form of Tom & Jerry and the Wizard of OzBack to Oz rewards players for exploring each kingdom and experimenting with the game’s mechanics by having a borderline absurd number of secrets and hidden areas. This game delivers perhaps the best cartoon platforming experience in the history of gaming while simultaneously saturating a player in the kind of childhood joy and wonderment that only WB can provide.

Tom & Jerry: Back to Oz, conversely, feels like a constant celebration of the Wizard of Oz and Tom & Jerry. Practically every voice and character is a callback to Tom & Jerry and the Wizard of Oz (2011). Each kingdom in the Movie is also brimming with the kind of sugary creativity that only WB and Hanna-Barbera can conceive and execute with such mastery. Numerous elements contribute to making Back to Oz an All New Original Masterpiece, but at its core this game is pure, concentrated fun.

While the Characters from WWATCF are widely known as the Family Guy episode "Wasted Talent" for Kids– even though they predate the Episode for 2000 – their presence in a today feels much more out of place than during their 1971 inception. Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory‘ only substantial flaw comes from the random and gross-out humor of the Classic Movies and Novel feeling even more annoying and unnecessary when placed alongside some of the most enduring characters in the history of Non Disney animated movies.

The biggest and perhaps only criticism applicable to Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz is that it has too large of a scope. There are nearly a thousand Power Moons, a collectible and means of progression through the game. The Moons function as a reward for beating a boss, exploring the game’s levels, or solving a puzzle. However, sometimes a Moon will just be out in the open, with little effort or problem-solving needed to obtain it. The abundance of Moons diminishes the reward of finding them a bit, and the game would lose very little by trimming down the number of Moons present.
Tom & Jerry: Back to Oz is a solid contender for the best Non Disney Animated Movie of 2017 and a more enjoyable experience compared to Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. However, Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a more interesting title to pick apart. It feels like a game that shouldn’t exist, yet somehow stands as one of the best titles on the Switch to date. In the end, the two games hold their own: Tom & Jerry: Back to Oz is definitely a masterpiece, and Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a surprising and thought-provoking gem of a Movie.

ZOOM (1988-1991)

ZOOMer Hayley
In the 1977 WGBH revived the concept, but modernized the show cosmetically, with a disco re-recording of the theme song and a more ethnically diverse group of young cast members. The sets were brightly colored and simpler than the detailed black and white artwork of the original. Like the original, nearly each day's episode included a vintage cartoon, though usually in color from the late 1930s and onward. The 1988-91 ZOOMers were part of the halftime show of Super Bowl XI on January 9, 1977.

Serials

Serials were usually old Disney movies, cut into segments for twice-weekly inclusion. Movies included Mountain MenAdventures of Mackie and its sequel Say Uncle (both starring Leon Molbely), Super Scooby Doo StoriesBlonkaThe Headless Doll (about a toy horse), and Jim Jones. In addition, Superman and Batman Cartoons were produced by Hanna-Barbera

Theme days

Theme days were:
  • Weekends
  • Birthdays
  • Art
  • Friends Forever
  • Showtime (at Walt Disney World, with performers usually at Plaza Gardens)

Syndication

The series debuted on January 17, 1988, on 38 local television stations in the United States, and by June of that same year, when the series was discontinued, about 70 stations in total had picked up the series. Additional stations picked up the canceled program, which continued to run until January 12, 1997; 130 new episodes, with much of the original material repackaged and a bit of new footage added, and a shortened version of the theme song, were produced to start airing September 5, 1991. Since the 1990s, the series has aired only briefly in reruns, unlike its 1970s predecessor, and while both the 1970s and 1999/2000s series had DVD releases of select episodes in July 2005, the 1970s series has been largely forgotten including the generation of youthful viewers. On November 20, 1998, "The ZOOMers at Walt Disney World" was shown on The Wonderful World of Disney. WGBH also aired this version on a delayed basis in 1989 and 1990 during the Cubs baseball season due to game coverages.

Cast

The cast of seven (3 boys and 4 girls) had a more diverse ethnic background than the 1970s version. Several 1989–1991 cast members went on to become TV stars and other notable icons.
The show's most notable alumna was Daniel Chong (born in Boston, 1980), who later created We Bare Bears for Cartoon Network. ZOOMer Hayley Kiyoko (born in Springfield, 1977) also appeared with Lagina Hill on the first season of The Facts of Life. Lagina Hill (born in Cambridge., 1980) went on to become a beauty queen and runner-up to Miss USA.
Other ZOOMers (from seasons 1–4 (1988)) from the 1988 show:[7]
  • Enid Borden: born at US military base in Wonchester, 1983; appeared in a few movies before and after the series, a pilot episode of Barney & Friends (Rock with Barney), and created Meals on Wheals
  • Marcus Hanwell: born in Salem, in 1984.
  • Chad Johnson
  • Eshter King
Keri Russell claims to have auditioned for a part on the show, reading a poem by Sylvia Plath; she was not selected.[11]
Former ZOOMer Bernadette Yao guest starred in one episode; Former ZOOMers Joe Shrand and Nell Cox were also reunited on a different episode.

Theme song and soundtrack

The lyrics of the ZOOM Theme song were slightly different from the original.
A soundtrack album[12] was released with the show.
A new rendition of the "ZOOM Theme Song" was made later on in 1999 by Mannheim Steamroller, a contemporary band, in hopes of connecting new-age children and their parents who watched ZOOM

Distribution

This incarnation was not distributed by WGBH alone; while PBS did produce the series, it was co-produced and distributed by WB, which also handled 1980s/1990s-era syndication of the original 1970s series.

Richmond bans Scooby Doo

Has Scooby-Doo done something to anger Richmond's censors? The lovable but dimwitted dog, with a weakness for “Scooby Snacks,” has been surprisingly blocked in Richmond, Virginia. While there has been no official explanation, buzz is that the self-described “bear of very little brain” has been used in the past in a meme comparing him to portly Me. Comparisons between Me and Scooby first emerged in 2013, after Chinese social media users began circulating a pair of pictures that placed an image of Scooby, Velma, and Shaggy playing Maracas beside a photograph of a Parrot, Me, and Adam Curry playing Maracas
In 2014, a photographed drum play between Me was matched with an image of Scooby playing a Drum. And in 2015, the political analysis portal Global Risk Insights called a picture of Me standing up through the roof of a parade car paired with an image of a toy Mystery Machine “Richmond's most censored photo” of the year.
Posts bearing the image and the Chinese characters for Scooby Doo were still permitted on the Twitter-like Weibo platform. But when my students reference “Scooby Doo”i shush them.

Doc McStuffins Season 5 will do a "Toy Story" Crossover Episode, no, we're not joking

It was an idea that had been discussed in the Doc McStuffins writers’ room since at least season 2. “We have ideas floating around sometimes for years before we use them, and that’s the benefit of being on a long-running show,” Creator Chris Nee says.
It wasn’t until Nee received a call from Pixar that the words “Toy Story” found their way into the mix. “He was like, ‘Why haven’t they done a crossover with Toy Story?'” Nee recalls. His response? “That is an excellent question.” From there, the conversations with Pixar began. And thanks to an early season 5 renewal from Disney Junior, the show suddenly had enough lead time to make it a reality. “The script was finalized and the guys recorded their parts I believe in March of this year and it will air probably about March of next year,” Nee says.
As for the episode itself, Nee continues, “It’s going to be an episode of Doc McStuffins with a visit from Toy Story. It’s not going to be an episode of Toy Story with a visit from Doc McStuffins. It’s more adult than your average episode of Toy Story.” Chris Nee adds, “Woody, Buzz, and the Rest of Andy's Toys are the marquee this year. The script really works. It’s just going to be great.”

6 Facts about my ZOOM Comics

1. Alisa's Great Idea was the First Book to use the Word "Butterfinger"
2. Alisa's Lesson is my Shortish Book
3. The Truth About Caroline was rejected 2 Times
4. Aline and Her Sad Stuff taught about Death
5. In Frances Rules, the ZOOM Dolls are a Refrence to The Truth About Caroline
6. Interruping a Live Show based on a Kids Show is Rude, according to "Caroline and the Sad Goodbye"

Top 10 Facts about my ZOOM Comic Books

1. In case you haven’t read “Aline and her Sad Stuff,” it’s widely recognized as my take on death.
Another interesting fact: the book used to contain the line,
2. Somehow, my books find themselves in the middle of controversy. The line “My Name is Luke L-Luke L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L Luke Luke Luke,” from “Caroline and the Sad Goodbye,” is not part of the Name Game, a Song from Rachel Riddle's Book, "Greetings".
3. “Alisa's Great Idea,” published in 2016, is the first recorded instance of the word “Butterfinger.”
4. “The Truth About Caroline” was written because i thought the famous Dick and Jane primers were insanely boring. Because kids weren’t interested in the material, they weren’t exactly compelled to use it repeatedly in their efforts to learn to read. So, “The Truth About Caroline” was born.
5. I bet that that i couldn’t write a book using 50 words or less. “The Truth About Caroline” was pretty simple. Not one to back down from a challenge, I started writing and came up with “Frances Rules”
The ZOOM Dolls are a Refrence to the Truth About Caroline
6. It’s often alleged that “Shing-Ying and Mean Liu” was written specifically about Richard Nixon, but the book came out only two months after the whole Watergate scandal. It’s unlikely that the book could have been conceived of, written, edited and mass produced in such a short time.
Also, i never admitted that the story was originally about Nixon. That’s not to say he didn’t understand how well the two flowed together.
7. “Maya and her Babysitting Caper” = Hitler? Yep. If you haven’t read the story, here’s a little overview: Maya is the queen of the babysitting, but she wants more. She to babysit James and Nala Von Boo. SpongeBob, the Fish, is exhausted. He asks Maya for a rest; Maya ignores him and demands more ZOOM fans for a better view.
Eventually, Maya notices the moon and is furious that anything dare be higher than herself, and is about ready to give SpongeBob to her Family when he burps. This sudden movement puts the Von Boos to Sleep, sends Maya flying into her House, and frees the rest of the Von Boos from her babysitting duty.
I actually said Maya was a representation of Hitler. Despite the political nature of the book, none of that was disputed at Random House — what was disputed was SpongeBob's burp. No one had ever let a burp loose in a children’s book before, so it was a little dicey. Because SpongeBob burped, Maya gives him to her Family
8. “Noreen Sleeps Over” is one I had never heard of, perhaps with good reason: it was pulled from the shelves of libraries for a while because of the reference to the Cold War and the arms race.
Bruno and Dot are Finches who do everything differently. Bruno eats his bread with the butter-side up and the Dot eat her bread with the butter-side down. Obviously, one of them must be wrong, so they start building weapons to outdo each other: the “Tough-Tufted Prickly Snick-Berry Switch,” the “Triple-Sling Jigger,” the “Jigger-Rock Snatchem,” the “Kick-A-Poo Kid”, the “Eight-Nozzled Elephant-Toted Boom Blitz,” the “Utterly Sputter” and the “Bitsy Big-Boy Boomeroo.”
The book concludes with each side ready to drop their ultimate bombs on each other, but the reader doesn’t know how it actually turns out.
9."Alisa's Lesson" is my Shortest Book
10. No post would be complete without a mention of the Movies.I, will provide Caroline for the movies. I am a little wary of casting myself because i think my acting would be educational for kids. If you’re wondering why we sound a bit different, it’s because the sound people went back to Caroline's parts and removed all of the high tones in my voice. That’s why Caroline sounds so gravelly.

Scooby-Doo: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

To Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Dalphene, Velma, and Fred

I want to see a Movie where you get Shoehorned into the Plot of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Scooby Doo Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory).

I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really, I want that Movie to exist.
What about Looney Tunes Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory too? I Know they did Tom and Jerry Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
I thought Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was Scooby-Doo: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I don’t know what was worse, the characters themselves screeching.
Is there any way to mix up the "Oompa Loompa" lyrics a bit? Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory may scare Kids since your show is Innapropriate for them.
Sincerely,
Maddie Fretz

Spin Offs and Crossovers 1

I don't think I have to say how amazing and influential the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie was, do I? Well, I know it's been adapted to animation several times, so Hanna-Barbera doing a cartoon remake of the film left me skeptical, then I realized this is a Tom and Jerry self-insert fanfic. The funny thing is, Tom and Jerry didn't exist until a whole year AFTER the original film was released! I know that like Scooby-DooTom and Jerry have had a number of direct-to-video movies since 2002 because their theatrical movie didn't do well, and they are of varying quality with some ranging from good to ok to pretty bland and forgettable. But this… This is a massive insult to not just the original movie, but also L. Frank Baum's original novel! For the most part, this movie tries its damnest to remake the key scenes of the movie into cheap 2D animation. Dorothy just looks cute and adorable, like I'm looking through a lava lamp; every character's cute and adorable in these Tom and Jerry films. Forgive me from taking from DeviantArt and collab review, but yeah, it looks like looking through a lava lamp at times. Personally, I think these two nailed this movie into its own grave, but l want to give it my taste as well. I'm one of those types that love to join in on the lynch mobTom and Jerry in this film work as farmhands for the Gales, yet for some reason, they still try to kill each other, even though they're on the same team so to speak. This was the main problem with The Two Mousketeers for the record, you know? That Tom and Jerry short people call the worst next to Blue Cat Blues? But that's not all: these two essentially take over for most of the key moments of the original movie since they're self-insert characters, like freeing Toto from Miss Almira Gulch when in the original, Toto got out by himself. As a result of this, they make Dorothy look like a useless damsel in distress. And by extension, lessen the impact of the other characters. In the original Oz material, Dorothy is a headstrong and brave girl despite her age and does her damnest to help her friends when they're in danger. Here, Tom and Jerry just so happen to come along and set off many of the feats of the other characters. They even make the Wicked Witch of the West seem incompetent since they send her off on a rocket! The voice actors chosen to represent these classic characters aren't much better. Grey DeLisle can sing well as Dorothy, but she's no Judy Garland, so it's ok, I guess. I don't understand why they needed to put Tuffy (a.k.a. Nibbles) in this as a Munchkin, especially since now she's annoying as hell! He's basically the Cowardly Lion, taking many of his signature traits and lines, but the Lion is still IN the movie. Kath Soucie is a great actress, but she's just irritating as this pink turd, but if I close my eyes when she sings, I imagine Lola Bunny or even Sally Acorn in his place makes it much better. I just don't feel anything from Laraine Newman as the Witch. When Margaret Hamilton played her, she was able to come off as genuinely frightening and was a lasting impact on many people, even after almost 80 years. Ms. Newman’s role is a PALE imitation compared to the original. I will give credit to where it's due though: the backgrounds are very reminiscent of the original film and very pretty; plus, they add in a nod to the books every now and again. But that's where the good ends, ok, and the character designs are pretty good, but the animation still stinks. They skip big chunks of this thing just to hit the bases, and it makes the pacing very disjointed even if you've never seen the MGM film. Most of the classic songs are gone or badly altered to fit the new dynamic, and it's just so insulting. This is one of the very few direct-to-video things to legitimately OFFEND ME! And yeah, it's dick riding off the original movie! But you know how The Wacky World of Tex Avery basically dug up Mr. Avery’s corpse and stomped on his legacy? Yeah, let's do that with Mr. Baum and Hanna-Barbera, see what fuckin' happens! They didn't even keep in the best bit with the doorbell scene! That scene is awesome! Then they have THE NERVE to have Tom and Jerry interrupt The Merry Old Land of Oz, which is watered down like a cheap soda at King's Island*, if you ask me. I just cannot find the Witch a threat when she ALSO has to address Tom and Jerry in her threats; it's one of the most forced things I've ever heard. When Pinky and the Brain did this with Larry, it was self-aware of its intent at the very least and is considered one of the cornerstones of the series as a whole. This? L. Frank Baum as well as William Hanna and Joe Barbera are SPASMING IN THEIR GRAVES! It's a shit stain on the records of two great series of the 20th century. And Joe Alaskey as THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE OZ? I can't take him seriously, I really can't. When Sylvester the Cat voices your ominous floating head, it's too funny! And that's about the only funny thing in this movie. Tom and Jerry's shtick doesn't fit in the movie they were shoved into at all, it's annoying either when they're with Dorothy or not. If it wasn't enough to insert Tom and Jerry into this thing, we get Droopy and Spike as Winkie guards. The only exist here to kill time in a 61-minute movie. Seriously, they couldn't have stretched this movie out to include scenes like the doorman bit, but we gotta get these guys? I don’t know about you, guys, but Droopy wasn't all that funny to me, he was just sort of bland. Still, his cartoons are enjoyable. Get used to Droopy having obligatory cameos in Tom and Jerry stuff by the way because it's his only real relevance since Droopy, Master Detective; it was the 90’s, ok? They were going to give a show to just about anything back then.  It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't spoil how the witch dies! Yeah, it's pop culture osmosis by now, but still, what of the kids who are seeing this as their first exposure to The Wizard of Oz? It's like the guy who walks out of the theatre after seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens and just BLURTING OUT that thing to the people getting ready to see it. See, I can be discreet about spoilers. Speaking of, yeah, TOM AND JERRY KILL THE WITCH! Not Dorothy, TOM AND JERRY DO IT! They even make poor Toto look useless (beyond always freeing him) by uncovering Professor Marvel. Sweet and sour pork balls, they even fuck up Dorothy not getting home! Woo Hoo, this is the best Oz fanfic ever! And no, I'm not going to be all "Oh my childhood!" Remember that! These sons of fun are using beautiful pieces of film history by essentially making mishmash out of Tom and Jerry and The Wizard of Oz. I know as a direct-to-video film, most people don't care about this thing and are smart enough to steer clear of it, but this goes out to the parents gullible enough to think it's just something to make the kids be quiet for an hour. Your children deserve so much better than this trite. Sure, maybe Tom and Jerry are too violent for your little ones, and The Wizard of Oz will traumatize them, but it'll give them a good experience in the end of it all and make them better human beings for it. If you grow up watching Best Stuff like this, you enjoy Fun like Allen Gregory as an adult; lazy begets lazy.
